TaPAS is a serious game for school children attending their first classes. It is meant to enable them to use touch devices like smartphones and tablet computers for educational purposes. One of the major challenges of this design project was to find a universal design for this diverse and young target audience with its unique needs. The team had to choose appropriate methods to include teachers and school children into the design process and the requirement analysis. Therefore they  designed and conducted a field study in different local schools, analysed the gathered data and employed it to drive an iterative user centered design process.
