COMMUNITEA is a design concept that is meant to improve the cooperation of distributed teams. Our students focussed on supporting informational communication in working groups. They intended to strengthen the team spirit and try to introduce an awareness for the tasks of other team members in distant locations. COMMUNITEA is meant to be a place for open communication. In ordinary working enviroments casual interactions take place unsheduled on the hallways or in break rooms. This concept tries to provide these experiences for people who work in different locations. Therefore COMMUNITEA was designed as a virtual tea space that enables team members who would never meet each others at work to interact in natural conversations.
